We purchased a new Carrier heating and air conditioning system from you in April, 2009. It is now October. We are so happy with the system, the company and the service. YOU ARE A 5 STAR TEAM WITH 10 STAR SERVICE! We have a modest (less than 2000 sf) home built in 1950. When we bought our house in 2000, the only thing about the AC and heat we really worried about was that it turned on. After several years of Texas summers, we knew that the new HVAC system was not a luxury, but a necessity. Two years ago, we started saving the money to purchase. This year, we were ready. The process started in late March. We contacted a company we heard on the radio and asked for a quote. They sent a sales rep out and literally wasted 2 hours of our time trying to sell us a “system guaranteed to reduce our bills, money back, guaranteed”. The price tag was $15,000 for a system and they couldn’t even tell us the brand. The duct work would be extra. We then contacted a friend with a small HVAC company. We know him and trust him a lot. He quoted us a high quality system (we recognized the brand) and all the trimmings. Unfortunately it took a long time to get the quote (he’s a small shop, so doing this job was more of a “favor” than a real deal) He couldn’t schedule us in for an installation for 3 weeks. His bid was in the $12,000 range, but the installation would take about a week IF he was available. Meanwhile, we found Reliant! From quote to installation, the process took about 7 days. The team assessed the situation- told us what size system we needed and figured out how much new duct and how many new registers and returns we needed. You all told us the brand (Carrier) and the promotion you were running. I believe it was $1000 rebate, plus an infinity air purifier, and on top of that, there will be a tax incentive we can claim for this year. WOW. You all put it in writing- with all the details. NO hidden charges. NO gotcha’s. Price tag: about half of what the other guys were asking. After 24 hours, we made the decision, and it was really a No-Brainer. Then the Reliant Team took over! They arrived on Friday with everything. The plan was laid out- all parts in the truck. On time, ready to rock-n-roll. Clean, nice, polite. Moved furniture out of the way and put it back. Everything was up and running by the middle of the afternoon on Saturday. It wasn’t hot then, but starting to warm up. We were even taught how to use the new thermostat and our project manager gave us his cell number in case we needed to call for any reason. Over the last few months, we have saved a minimum of 25% on electric usage (based on cost and kilowatt hours). Since our new system is about twice as large as the old one, we really hoped to break even. Our home is extremely comfortable, and over the summer, it was down right chilly at times. The old system couldn’t cool below 78 degrees! The new duct and Infinity Air Purifier have dramatically reduced the dust in the house. It’s a night and day difference. AND, did I mention how quiet it is? You can’t even tell it’s running, unless you are under a register and feel the air blowing. Thank you Reliant for being GREAT at what you do. FAIR, HONEST, TIMELY!
