HVAC Residential Retrofit Salesman

Reliant Air Conditioning is now accepting applications for HVAC Residential Replacement Salesmen. Our salesmen enjoy competitive pay structures and benefits, dedicated office support, and most importantly: unmatched lead generation and sales opportunities due to our extensive Marketing efforts in Radio/TV/Internet and Direct Mail. Applicants need 2+ years of documented experience guiding homeowners through HVAC Replacement options in an ethical manner, while still meeting acceptable sales metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present HVAC replacement options to both potential and established customers in a respectful and ethical manner, communicating a clear and genuine concern for the customer’s needs and preferences, while at the same time keeping profitability and the best interests of Reliant Air Conditioning in mind
  • Design replacement solutions in a cost-effective manner which will satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Create accurate lists of all equipment and materials needed for each individual job
  • Explain benefits of HVAC efficiency upgrades and accessories in such a way that is easy for the customer to understand without feeling intimidated or insulted
  • Meet or exceed minimum lead and sales performance standards
  • Build positive relationships with customers in order to establish a network of referrals
  • Actively track and follow up on open-ended leads to which you have been assigned
  • Report on market competition and products being offered
  • Explain financial details and offers such as special financing, rebate offers, tax credits and other discounts
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests given via phone or e-mail communication
  • Manage time in such a way as to be on time to all pre-set appointments
  • When necessary, manage difficult or dissatisfied customers in a way which progresses toward conflict resolution to the satisfaction of all parties involved
  • Work closely with our field manager, installation crews and office staff to minimize confusion on jobs and make sure all installation instructions are clear and precise
  • Keep flexible work hours, including rotated evenings and weekends during the peak season (generally from May to September)
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced and varied work environment

EDUCATION:

High school / GED

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug screening and basic background check
  • Minimum 4 years experience in residential HVAC replacement sales
  • Workable proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as with mobile devices such as Blackberrys
